- Photos of Textile Scrap Workshop: Design Challenge. In partnership with the New York City Department of Sanitation, Materials for the Arts (MFTA) launched a textile scrap reuse initiative, inviting Parsons students to develop creative design solutions. Coordinated by the Parsons Healthy Materials Lab and the Tishman Environment and Design Center, students participated in an interactive, hands-on workshop at the MFTA warehouse in Long Island City, where they explored and prototyped design ideas using a wide array of reclaimed textile scraps and materials. Part of 2017 Earth Day events.
